We are so excited to welcome new tenant Monica Young to the Oconee Business Center!
Monica is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has been providing counseling services for over 5 years beginning with her time in practicum and internship with Liberty University where she obtained her Master of Arts in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling. Since, she has provided professional clinical treatment to individuals and families from a wide range of ages and situations. She serves clients with a sense of calm and duty, with the goal to ultimately equip each person to be their own counselor and live genuinely through their values.
Before beginning the journey to becoming a therapist, Monica served young people and families in various capacities for many years. She has worked at the local high school as a success coach, coordinated a program that served families for the purpose of unification, worked in residential settings, as well as served long-term in various ministries, most recently for over 15 years. Additionally, she is currently leading a trauma group for women in recovery.
All of these led to the work that she places high value on now as a therapist. Most recently she has become certified in eco-therapy and hopes to do more with that in the near future. For now, her focus in client centered psychotherapy as well as brief solution-focused therapy, group facilitated psychoeducation, and mindfulness training. It is with an eager heart that she begins the endeavor of serving her community of Oconee County in this new capacity with Resilience Personal Growth & Development Services, LLC.
We are thrilled to help and have Monica here at the Oconee Business Center incubator!
